PATHWAYS TO JUSTICE
Danny and Holly first crossed paths years ago during Holly’s tenure at a different law firm. However, their collaboration blossomed over months of conversations revolving around the crucial need for attorneys and their clients to have additional support in fully representing their interests. Danny greatly admired the dedication exhibited by the legal team during the OJ Simpson murder trial. While not condoning any criminal behavior, dissecting the trial strategies reveals the importance of multiple perspectives and minds in delivering effective litigation. Through Danny and Holly’s discussions, a concerning trend emerged - the dehumanization of the criminally accused, reduced to mere numbers on a board. Recognizing this, and with valuable input from their mutual friend, Attorney Sean M. Downs, they made the collective decision to establish Pathways To Justice, LLC. Their aim is to offer a valuable asset to the legal community and those they serve.
How Pathways To Justice, LLC came into being
Hey there! I'm delighted to share that I'm among the co- founders, co-executors, and co-owners of Pathways to Justice, LLC. At 37 years old, I hail from the picturesque State of Washington, having spent my entire life in Clark County. Alongside being a devoted wife and mother to three young ones, I'm committed to providing them with the best possible life. My journey into the realm of criminal justice ignited at a tender age, fueled by dreams of becoming an attorney. Despite not being particularly fond of academia, I managed to graduate high school and dabble in college for a while, exploring various career paths. Although initially pursuing a career as a paramedic, I found myself lacking the necessary motivation and eventually paused my educational pursuits.
My professional endeavors primarily revolved around customer service, transitioning into the medical field where I spent numerous years with Providence Health Care. While initially opting to be a stay-at-home mom after the birth of my first child, my innate drive to work and explore new challenges led me back into the workforce, this time in the realm of home health care as an office manager. However, the emotional toll of witnessing the passing of those I had formed bonds with took its toll, prompting me to reassess my career path. It was during this transitional phase that fate intervened, leading me to a legal assistant position where I assisted attorneys providing pro bono legal aid to individuals in correctional facilities and facing the Indeterminate Sentencing Review Board. This marked the beginning of my "legal" career journey. Fast forward six years, and here I am, co-owner of Pathways to Justice, LLC, while also working for several attorneys in Clark County. I am also an independent contractor with the Clark County Public Defense, Mason County and The Office of Public Defense where I provide redaction services, legal assistant services etc. My tenure in the legal field has only served to deepen my passion for law, as I've witnessed firsthand the shortcomings of our criminal justice system. I'm steadfast in my commitment to being a catalyst for the much- needed change in Washington State.
Greetings. I'm thrilled to announce that I am one of the co-founders, co-executors, and co-owners of Pathways To Justice, LLC. I'm a 36 year old father and husband, hailing predominantly from North Clark County, WA, USA. While I've traversed several states, none captivate me quite like Washington with its majestic Fir trees. I'm an avid lover of nature, often finding solace and inspiration in its embrace, which I strive to incorporate into both my daily life and legal pursuits. The genesis of my passion for criminal justice stems from personal experiences. As an adopted child, I witnessed the civil justice system fail my adoptive parents and egregiously infringe upon the due process rights of my biological parents. Living with a high-functioning form of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, my adoptive mother tirelessly advocated for resources to help me thrive, yet her pleas fell on deaf ears. The system dismissively attributed my struggles to mere ADHD, while misinformation from state agencies led to misconceptions about my biological father, painting him as

a villain. It wasn't until much later that the truth emerged, revealing a man who, despite his own challenges, harbored genuine love and a desire to be part of my life. From a young age, I grappled with authority and the justice system, a common trait among individuals with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. While I admired figures like Dick Tracy and Perry Mason for their problem-solving prowess, I also identified with the rebellious spirit embodied by characters like those in "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "The A-Team." This dichotomy mirrored my own struggles with law enforcement, leading to encounters with the justice system as both a juvenile and an adult. Amidst my tumultuous journey, I recognized the value of education and sought to expand my legal knowledge. Encounters with legal professionals throughout the Pacific Northwest, albeit marred by tragedy, catalyzed my growth and instilled in me a sense of purpose. Their mentorship showcased the transformative power of education and advocacy, reinforcing my commitment to criminal justice reform and community service. As I represent Pathways To Justice, LLC, I do so with an unwavering commitment to fairness and impartiality. I extend gratitude to individuals like the Honorable Clark County Superior Court Judge Gregory Gonzales and Esteemed Division III Court of Appeals Commissioner Hailey Landrus for their support and guidance over the years. Special thanks also to mentors like Attorney Mr. Sean M. Downs and the influential Attorney Mr. Steven Thayer for their invaluable lessons and inspiration. I have represented myself as a pro se litigant, as well as acting as a next friend, or serving as power of attorney for individuals in various courts, including:
